Looking Forward

Phew!  Another week down!  Only 3 more until spring break!  Our break is really late this year, and I’m ready for it now!  I’ve made up my mind to just put my head down and power through!  At least I have something to look forward to–I’m going to Seattle to visit my cousin, Alison!

On the subway in NYC!

Since she lives on the other side of the country, we don’t get to see each other often, but when we do get together, we always have the best time!  A few years ago, we met up in NYC for a week of shopping and sight-seeing.  She has been to New York a gazillion times and knows all the best places to go, so I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us in her home city!  (No pressure or anything, Al!) 😀

When I’m feeling especially stressed, I find it really helps to have something in my life to look forward to, so I like to make lots of plans.  I always try to set up little mini-events in between the bigger ones to keep my outlook positive.  I have a pretty decent schedule of fun stuff coming up!

  • March 27 — Last Pavement Pounders group run
  • April 1 — Professional Development (aka a day without students!)  Even though I still have to work, it’s nice to change things up by spending a day with adults!
  • April 2 — Monument 10K
  • April 8 — Meeting up with my mom in Charlotte, NC!  We have lifelong family friends there, and we’re meeting up for a girly weekend!
  • April 16 Spring Break! 😀  Off to Seattle!  Yahoo!
  • May 29 — Ashley’s Wedding
  • June 4 — Decker’s Creek Half Marathon

YAY for things to look forward to!

Tonight’s eats are pretty boring.  I have the worst stomach issues (brought on mostly by stress 😦 ) and today they are out in full force, so I kept it low key.

Yep, good old clam chowder in a can!  And a handful of these bad boys while it heated up in the microwave. 😉

Honey Roasted Peanuts

A culinary masterpiece!

Is it ok to eat Progresso soup in a Campbell's mug???

Due to my lousy stomach and some pesky hip pain I’ve been having this week, I’m forgoing a workout today in favor of a little R & R.

I’m off to play mom!  Wish me luck! 😉
